Recovering lost Globe prepaid sim card numbers

In case you're not aware that Globe Prepaid sim card numbers are recoverable, here's a Good news! Globe has made a procedure for prepaid subscribers to recover their lost sim card number. Here's what my friend Disen shared with us when he lost his Prepaid sim card.

Contact (02) 730-1000 to contact Globe's call-in service representative.
The procedure for requesting a lost SIM card (and having the same number) is:

  1. the SIM card must not be expired (eg. must have loaded with credits within the last few weeks or months)
  2. submit Affidavit of Loss (notarized) to nearest Globe business center (present in many malls)
  3. show ID / proof of billing in your name (eg. driver's license, Meralco bill, etc)
  4. present proof (2 or more) that you are the owner of said number/SIM card:
    • if you're a G-Cash member, it would help if you have the receipt of the SIM card when you bought it, or the SIM bed of the SIM card
    • remember the last calls (contact numbers) you made with the cellphone/SIM card before it was lost
    • remember the last SMS / text messages (contact numbers) you made with the cellphone / SIM card before it was lost
  5. Pay P50 when the new SIM card becomes available (generally, within 24 hours)
